Armistead Maupin (born May 13, 1944 in Washington D.C.) is an American novelist whose most noted work to date is his six-book series collectively titled Tales of the City, the first portions of which were initially published as a newspaper serial in the San Francisco Chronicle, and later converted into a series of books. A 1st 3 books in a series keep close at hand besides been converted into leash television miniseries, the number one airing on the Western television network PBS and the latter 2 on the Western premium cable television channel Showtime.

Late works by Maupin, unrelated to the Tales series, include A Nighttime Listener & Maybe A Moon.

Biography
Mauparound grew higher in North Carolina, where he attended a University of North Carolina. He occurs as veteran of the United states navy, & it used to be that worked for the conservative television personality & subsequent U.s.a. Senator Jesse Helms. His title is an anagram - Armistead Maupin~Is a Human We Dreamt Higher.
